On past Malaysia day 16th & 17th September; they have collaborated with #GrabMalaysia to have an artisan market at 100 years old train deport #Sentuldeport. Sentul deport is owned by #YTLland who is also an official sponsor of this programme.

These two days programme got an overwhelming support from art lovers of Malaysia. I have seen riuh had done many art events however, this is my first time I have visited them.

The 100 years old buildings of Sentul deport is extremely beautiful. I hope #YTL will maintain this treasure by not overusing it.

Many local artisans have showcased their products. It was super cool.

Aside, they also have life performance from local bands. Little did I know that #Malaysian have such talented singers and musicians. They super duper cool. I have truly enjoyed the performance so do the crowd.

Check out their performance here.

No doubt, this event is so successful.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

It’s my mom’s 70th birthday today 19072018. The only person I have the utmost respect and the most sacred off in this world.

I’m not raised by a parent, by a man but a woman, a mother.

This video is the true reflection of a mother and her scarifications. It’s so painful to watch this.

http://life.bldaily.com/animal/p-511095.html

Recently, I also come across a video posted on Facebook where a mother is abandoned by her own daughter at the street. The daughter has driven her mother to Klana Jaya and dropped her at the street.

Watching the statement given the poor mother is so painful. The video made me into tears nonstop for 15 minutes. Imagine the pain one had to go through to be abandoned by own daughter. I just couldn’t take it.

If you can’t afford to take care of them, please do not abandon them into the street. Send them to foster home. For God sake, she has raised you.

How can you even think of doing such an evil thing to them? This is insane.

All the innocent babies and elder people are deserve a better life than this.

The world is getting sickening; the humans are going crazy. Animals are better than them and it so obvious.

I wish my mother many more happy years she deserved. Thank you GOD.

[#tamakaTravelLogue] #SiemReap #Cambodia

Date: 02 Feb 2018 Days: 2 Days 1 Night Currency: USD

img_20180203_1317201229456131.jpg

It was a rare morning because I woke up early, 0630 to be exact. Usually that would be my sleeping time on my weekend. I was browsing my #Instagram on my laptop. Then, a notification from #AirAsia popped in my screen. It was great deal.

So, I buzzed my close friends (Vanitha & Tulasi) in Whatsapp group flooding dozens of messages. I want an immediate response. I gave damn on their sleeping time.

This is good deal and I can’t let this go. We were planning a vacation. We wanted to out from the country but we do not know where to go. It’s hard to fix a place when you are kept counting the expenses. “Hence, this is definitely a great deal”. I said to myself.

Yeah!! I got responses. My friends were messaging me. We had two choice #Phuket and #SiemReap. After exchanging nonstop opinions, we chose #SiemReap only because of #Angkorwat. We really wanted to visit this temple.

I can’t wait any longer. I purchased the tickets for three of us together with an accommodation where the total cost is MYR1478.70 (2 Days 1 Night). That’s approximately RM493 per person. After months of discussion, this was a quick and an unplanned decision. We were so happy about it. Then, we have totally forgotten the trip until few days before the departure. One of us has to remind us. Well, that’s surely Vanita. She is a perfect planner. Then, we rushed to exchange currency and packed our bags in a day or two. “Bags are packed. I’m ready to fly” we exchanged Whatsapp message. Within a day, we were at airport around 0400 hugging each other for meeting after months.

1| Where we stayed

We stayed at hotel Angkor Voyage Villa at Sok San Road. It’s a three star hotel because we do not want to spend so much of money into hotel. Even though we had little dissatisfaction especially when it’s failed to reflect the expectation as displayed by Air Asia on their page, we are ok with it. The hotel is located in the middle of Siem Reap town. So, most of the places are within reach of walking distance around 5 minutes and quite safe. The receptionist or the care taker of the hotel (Ms Sofia) is so friendly tho. We became good friends and exchanged facebook IDs. Should I come back to Siem Reap, I planned to stay here again.

Rating: 3/5

2|First Day

We checked in then out to survey the nearby areas. This place is crowded with budget hotels, restaurants, food stalls, fish message, souvenirs shops, banks and tuk-tuks. There were uncountable alleys and the spaces are well used. Don’t be surprised if you found a hotel at aisle or ATM machine on the top of the drainage. The cables are overloaded and I’m not sure how they are maintaining it. It’s totally mesmerizing. WIFI is easily available at every restaurant. One thing is sure; this place is crammed by foreigners probably because a bottle of beer is just USD1. We visited the nearby museum and checked out the surroundings of the town.

img_20180202_112357356539604.jpg

When we returned to hotel, we purchased two days tour package recommended by Ms Sofia. Then, we followed the package arrangement and headed to floating village. It took almost an hour journey to reach the floating village by a van then to a boat. Alternatively, you can take tuk-tuk (please skip this on dry season) or taxi. It’s so hazy due to dry season until the driver only has 30% visibility of the road. Along the tour, we were been briefed by our young and handsome tour guy. Since it’s a dry season therefore the village is not flooded. Yet, it’s an incredible experience too because we got to walk the village where the ground is usually covered by water. After the village visit, we went to crocodile farm (that how they call it but the reality is they kept few crocodiles in a big net). This is where you will get to experience the floating restaurant. You can choose to have dinner here (expensive though, normal meal is between USD7 to USD11) or a short trip with small boat to visit the deep of mangrove forest. They charge you USD20 per boat which can accommodate 4 people. Then, we head to middle of #TonleSap Lake to enjoy the sunset. I got to know that Tonle Sap is a lake even though it is feels like sea. It’s huge. We have been told that once upon a time, they were so many crocodiles on this lake where now is none because most of it had been captured by locals for money. Since our boat has top deck, we took the top deck to enjoy the view. It was incredible experience. When the sun is down, we head back to town and reached our hotel around 0200. It was exhausting yet a great day.

Rating: 4/5

3| Second Day

As early as 0500, our tour guide picked us at our hotel entrance. Today is an exciting day because we are going to #Angkorwat. This is the main reason why we are here. We got to move as early as 0500 to witness the sunrise on the top of the Angkot. This is one of the MUST to do item if you visit Siem Reap. The entrance pass for four temple visit (#Angkorwat, #AngkorThom, #TaProhm, #BaYon) is USD20 p/person for a day. Keep you pass safely because if you lost it you have to repurchase it.

Around 0645 we are all ready waiting for the sunrise. Unfortunately, we couldn’t witness the rise because it’s too cloudy. Better luck next time. Once it’s bright, we started our tour covering the temples one after another with its history being briefed by our tour guy. I couldn’t imagine how they have built these amazing empires. This is too huge to digest. The entire history is surrounded within the conflict occurred between the #Hindu and the #Buddhist. Every time the temple is conquered by any of them the act of destroy and demolish the existence of the other took place. That’s make the history too deep even to dig. My favorite temple was #Angkorwat and #BaYon. I almost lost in #BaYon temple because it looks the same at every five entrance. The precision and perfection of architecture is mind blowing. We ended our tour with #LionGate and back to Siem Reap town around 0800. Then, we thank our tour guy and returned to our hotel to have an hour of good rest before exploring the night market.

The night market is just five minutes walking distance from our hotel. It’s UV light everywhere and so happening compared to day time. Every corner is flooded with goodies and foods. There were loud music with beers and vodka as it’s seems like heaven.

We have been told that the famous restaurant here is Kher Kitchen. You can check their menu here. Since it’s too crowded and people are queuing up for so long we opted to alternative. We were like walked almost every alleys looking for the best food. Finally, we settled down at this restaurant called D-town. You can check their menu, rating and comments here with some other recommended restaurants. We tasted the Siem Reap famous #Amok fish. It was so good that you can never get enough. Besides, we loved their mango salad. It was satisfying dinner.

Then, it’s a shopping time. In here, I guess night is the most suitable time to shop because it just a shopping heaven in here. There were so many goods and crafts. The cheapest is the V-neck cotton t-shirt that cost only USD1. No doubt, we bought plenty of t-shirts of all sizes. Besides, you can never get bored with their crafts and arts. I nearly lost on this world if precious #artworks. On that night, I have made a decision to come to explore all these amazing works. If you are fan if silk, this is the right heaven for you.

4| Fourth Day

I couldn’t believe that it’s time to pack up. We have decided to pack early so that we can spend the rest of the time to enjoy some nice foods before catching up our flight at 1400. We were so fascinated by the food so we took our lunch an hour right after the breakfast. We ordered plenty of dishes for our lunch at nearby restaurant. The plus point is every person who ate here had an hour of privilege of free fish massage. Since we have been too friendly to the restaurant owner we had an advantage of extra hours of the fish massage. How lucky we are.

Then, it’s time to head to airport. This time we decided to take tuk-tuk (USD9) just to experience it. It took us forty five minutes to reach the air port. After hours, we are back at our homeland #Malaysia around 1800.

It was a memorable journey to three of us. I personally made a decision to visit the place again because I’m not done yet. #SiemReap, you got me.

A #Mother is not a Mother

I think there is no specific day to celebrate mother’s day. It should be every day and every second. But of course, we need to fix a day in a year as a reminder. Therefore, mother’s day is a “reminder day”. If you have ever neglected your mother, this is the day to repay your sin. I have my own perspective on my mother. You can read that here

But, today I’m not gonna brag about how good is a mother and why everyone should appreciate her. Well, so many had been said before. I think every matter should be seen in every possible angle to reflect the different perspectives to embrace the both side of the coins.

All this while, we worship mother as mighty GOD and appreciate the role and sacrifices she had made. Well, that’s majority. Even I thought the same way. So, let’s look at the other side of the coin.

Not all mothers are loved by their kids. I witnessed daughters who hate their mother yet still taking care of them merely to fulfil their responsibility. I wonder why it’s so. Doesn’t a daughter usually will worship a mother because we are woman who carries stronger emotional gen? Yet, I have seen:

  1. A daughter who loves her father compared to her mother.
  2. A daughter who rose by her grandmother compared to her mother.
  3. A daughter who being care less by her own mother.
  4. A daughter whom has an adopted mother as her mother.
  5. A daughter who loves her stepmother compared to her own mother.

When I did a little analysis, I found out that sense of appreciation isn’t created by the biological cord but the sacrifices one does to raise a child. The struggles the one had to through to care for the child in their hand.

So, if you’re being mocked for not showing love to your own mother or fear of public perception for choosing and loving the one that not your biological mother; I want you to know that I can understand you.

You will not be perceived as pessimistic for complaining about your biological mother.

To all the mothers whom have scarified a lot for a child Happy Belated Mothers day.

AMMA / MOTHER : Happy #MothersDAY

Mother! What does this word mean to you? Have you ever asked this question to yourself?

If yes, ask again, If not, well ask now.

If you ask me the same, I would say it has no description. You simply can’t put into words.

My mom is 70 years old this year. The only thing I’m scared of in this world is my mother due out of utmost respect.

  • Respect to the struggle she had to go through to carry me.
  • Respect to the hurdles she had to face to keep me alive. (She said I nearly died of sickness and she has no money to bring me to hospital)
  • Respect for living the painful life to raise me and my six siblings without the support of my father.
  • Respect for the challenges she had to go through alone as a woman to feed her children.
  • Respect for working hard as a rubber tapper all day long so that she can give better future for her kids.
  • Respect for letting me to continue my study despite negative influences spread by my relatives.
  • Respect for trusting and leaving me to work far from the home.
  • Respect for giving me the freedom to do my own choices.
  • Respect for the utmost sacrifices you have did for me and my siblings.
  • Respect for all the things you have done to me and my siblings which can’t be described using 24 letters.

Of course, she has her flaws but that’s nothing big compared to what she has done to us.

She had literally lived for us “her children”. I have heard her outcry for her two kids who had been adopted due to her financial in-capabilities to raise them when they were born. The unintentional act which she regrets till today.

I have seen her struggles, pains and tears by standing right beside her. I wish no mom should go through such pains in their life which she is still struggles to get rid of her memory. The pains are too deep as it had been nailed into her heart. The traumatic life one should never go through.

She lived an extraordinary life for a woman. I wish I can write her biography one day.

Happy Mother’s Day Amma (Mother)

Welcome to #NewMalaysia 10 MAY 2018

Let me record this historical moment. The waiting is over. The sleepless night is over. It’s official now.

Heartiest welcome to our new prime minister Tun Dr. #Mahathir Mohamad of #Malaysia. He made it by becoming the oldest prime minister in the world.

Even before the swearing he is already bringing the world’s attention on Malaysia.

The people have spoken. The mandate is given. Feeling proud to be one of the person who had brought the change.

Feeling gracious to be part of this and witnessing every moments.

I love you Malaysia 🇲🇾 and forever I will.

Another Milestone 14/04/2018

It’s Tamil New Year today. Another goal achieved. I want this to be a yearly tradition. So, let me record this down.

I have executed a long time plan today and it’s another milestone in my life. I have purposely chosen this date so that I can track and measure my achievement every year.

I’m so glad I’m doing all this by my own. It could mean nothing for someone; but it’s means a lot for me. I know, I’m slightly delayed in achieving my life goals but I’m glad that I finally make it.

I took full pride of it because every single achievement is the sole effort of me and no one else.

I know I have way more to go and I’m heading towards.

Signing off with pride.

Can a Café Change Your Mood?

Finding a Cafe is so hard for me. I would like to go out and find a nice Cafe so that I can do my work and accomplish more. I am a person that always in a need of motivation to get things done. Especially, the environment is the major contributor.

I love watching people and they make my environment lively. Moving gets me going. People’s doings makes me question my daily life and get me growing day-by-day.

I get dormant with the same look. I need a change. I love get going. I love get moving.

Now, the problem is that I tend to waste so much of time in choosing the place and Cafe I wanted to go. At times, I’ll be sitting hours in the car deciding where I wanted to go. I know, it’s such a waste of time. But, I’m not sure why am I doing this. So, I did little bit of analysis on this.

Gotcha !!! I found out. I’m calculating the potential expenses for selecting the area and the Cafe. I gave a little bit of thought on parking as well. As much as I love enjoying the Cafes and the people, I equally love saving money. So, I want to feel the environment but I do not want to invest so much of money into it. All of us know how expensive a good coffee can be.

I get so jealous looking at the people who make such decision wasting no time. They don’t require “mind calculator” like most of us, the middle class. Therefore, the motivation kicks in…

I want abundance of money so that I can live the life the way I wanted to live. Get ridding the mind calculator is the ultimate goal.

How do I do it ? Good question tho.

Hmm, I need an input now. I better get going and looking for Café. Let me give a stare at people.
